The 2007 Standard Class Nationals and the 2007 Region 9 Championships will be held concurrently at the Hobbs Industrial Airpark, Hobbs, New Mexico. The 2007 SSA pilot ranking list will be used to determine priority. The total number of contestants between both contests will be limited to 65, with priority given to national entrants. A deposit of $100 is required to hold an entry position. Please note that the rules allow for a surcharge for entries received after the preferential cutoff date.
A glider-mounted ELT, while not mandatory this year, is very strongly encouraged.
Standard Class Nationals
Dates: Tuesday July 17 through Thursday July 26; informal practice days July 15/16
The entry fee is $300 plus $48 per tow.
Preferential entry cutoff date: Friday May 18
Mandatory pilot's meeting Monday July 16 at 7:30pm in Heidel Hall
Region 9 South Championship
Dates: Monday July 16 through Saturday July 21; official practice day July 15
The entry fee is $200 plus $48 per tow.
Preferential entry cutoff date: Thursday May 17
Mandatory pilot's meeting Sunday July 15 at 7:30pm in Heidel Hall
Tows will be available starting Saturday July 14.
